Privacy & Confidentiality
Gay Men's Yoga does not, and will never, share personal or private information with any individual, business or organisation without permission. Many clients, including professionals, executives, public figures and international visitors, value their privacy, and every client is afforded the same level of discretion, respect and confidentiality.
Information shared during classes, private sessions, yoga massage or consultations is treated with the strictest confidence and is securely maintained in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
Exceptions to Confidentiality
There are limited circumstances where disclosure of information may be required by law, including:

where there is a reasonable belief that a client may pose a serious risk of harm to themselves or another person;

where abuse or neglect of a child or another vulnerable person is suspected and reporting is legally required; or
-
where records are required to be released under a lawful court order or subpoena.
Where legally possible, these circumstances will be discussed with the client before any information is disclosed.
Online Privacy
Every reasonable effort is made to protect the privacy of email, telephone and online communications. While no electronic method of communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure, appropriate measures are taken to protect your personal information.
Clients participating in online classes or communicating electronically are encouraged to use their own personal devices and secure internet connections for additional privacy.
Maintaining the trust, confidence and privacy of every past, present and future client remains one of the highest priorities of Gay Men's Yoga.
One of the primary building blocks of the relationship between Gay Men's Yoga and its clients is trust. A client's confidence in the confidentiality of the information shared is essential. Without this foundation of trust, it is difficult to build the open, honest and supportive relationship that allows clients to feel comfortable, relaxed and respected.
